EcoCampus

Led by the Sustainable Earth Office (SEO) the EcoCampus Initiative is a RD&D programme built on applied research and test-bedding of innovative technologies, covering the grounds of Nanyang Technological University’s (NTU) 200-hectare campus, along with an adjoining 50 hectares of JTC Corporation’s CleanTech Park, which is Singapore’s first eco-business park, hosting companies and institutions in the Clean Environment Technology domain.

The initiative was launched officially in April 2014, with a mission to achieve an impactful target of a 35% reduction in energy, water and waste intensity by 2020, while leading the development and adoption of innovative technologies.

The programme is supported by the Economic Development Board (EDB) and JTC Corporation, along with other government agencies in Singapore to help develop a technology deployment roadmap towards Singapore’s pledged carbon reduction targets in the Paris Agreement on climate change mitigation.
